WAK Therapists

Bio

WAK Therapists It may seem cliché that a hip-hop group was born behind bars, but that’s exactly where Lincs—frontman, lyricist, survivor—first heard the beat. In one of His Majesty’s special lock-ups he scribbled lines on the back of court papers, traded riffs through walls, and promised himself: when the gate swings, the music swings louder. Four years on, the promise’s kept. WAK Therapists: four heads, four mics, guitars that snarl, drums that punch. Influences? Rage Against the Machine’s fury, The Streets’ London grit, Linkin Park’s hook-first precision. The sound is raw, reformative, and unashamedly loud. Signed to Red Tangent Records, they’ve dropped singles that hit playlists and prison radios alike. Right now they’re finishing Pharmacide / Vivid Green—a double A-side written cell-to-cell, due 2026. These aren’t nostalgia tracks; they’re receipts: proof that what starts in concrete can end on festival stages. Expect high kicks, high verses, and zero filler. 2026 is their year to tour every venue that’ll have them—from sweaty basements to sold-out rooms. If you want music that remembers where it came from and refuses to go back, queue up. WAK Therapists are coming out swinging.
